Social work Acknowledgement

This evening (27.08.09) I had the oppurtunity to attend a function worth attending.I had been to KALAINGAR TV and meet my friend Florent C.Periara/GM. Since I had been there by walk he said he would drop me, in the course of time he extended an invitation to a function he was scheduled to attend as a chief guest and wanted me to accompany him. I had always been an admirer of Mr.Perira for his outlooks and body language, so I accepted his invitation in a mood to see his stature in the function. as soon as we entered the arena at THE RUSSIAN CULTURAL CENTER in teynampet, we were greeted and obviously I was parted from him, we entered as friends and now he was the chief guest and myself the audience. I earlier thought it woulde be a typical function wherein the organisers main aim would be to impress the guests they have invited and latter inturn would expect some benefits from them either directly or indirectly. But to my astonishment when I saw the list of persons who were to recieve the awards they were really worth it.And even more when the list of the chief guests who were present to giveaway the awards and felicitate them included the names of Prof.Naganathan who can now be hailed as the FATHER OF EFFECTIVE ELECTION MANIFESTO because of his instrumental thoughts which were the back bone of the DMK's 2006 Election Manifesto is now almost duplicated by all parties in the country.Deccan chronicle Chief Editor Mr.R.Mohan (formerly incharge of Sports section in THE HINDU) who was significantly associated in the growth of THE HINDU, to the extent that almost 90% were and are forced to turn to the sports page immediately on having the newspaper in their hands. Director T.Rajender who though lectures on conterversial topics but would express his views firmly, Mr.Ramesh Prabha an excellent program producer in conceptual programmes for Televisionh media. The reciepients list was headed by S.V.Sekhar a professional comedian but a very serious socialite, Mr.C.R.Baskaran the host of the Tv show NEEDHIYIN KURAL ( voice of justice ) ,Mr.Bhaskarraj.another TV programme Host, Dance master Raghavendra Lawrence well known for his gesture to orphans and physically handicapped ( was represented by his Mother ), MR.Siddique, a social activist and human rights activist, Director Arun Vaidyanathan ( An NRI ? )who has given a beautiful social awareness Tamil movie on Sexual Harrasement faced by young children, ACHAMUNDU ACHAMUNDU, Traffic Ramasamy another conterversial a social activist not but the least some more noble hearted persons.
The highlights of the program was that the way in which the organiser MR. Vaseegaran addressed the guests and also his on the spot replies to the observations made by the guests proved that he is really Vaseeegaran which means attractive person in tamil. another impression was made by a Alternatively talented person ( a word framed in tamil as MAATRU THIRAN KONDAVARGAL For Physically Handicapped persons) whose lecture was impressive attractive and infact his acknowledgement would be the best encouragement for the program organisers and all serious, sincere social thought hearts. the only flaw i could feel was that the function ended in a abrupt manner and i did think they would play the National Anthem at the end of the program which unfortunately did not happen. Anyhow cheers and guuddos to the organisers, chief guests,recepients and ofcourse my fellow audience. bye for the day.
